IMS Luxembourg

John Elkington · 6 October 2022 · Leave a Comment

With Nancy/Christian of IMS (#2, #5), Franz Fayot (Minister of Economy), Tessa van Soest (B Lab Benelux)
Christian (Scarf) and Tessa (van Soest) – and three words I came up with back in 1995

Flew in to Luxembourg this morning via BA, after a very early start. Plane made an automatic landing because of thick/low fog. Reading Douglas Roushkoff’s book, The Survival of the Richest on the flight. Very impressed by the city’s free trams, which we rode to the hotel. Then worked energetically in Novotel before walking across to this evening’s event, hosted by Inspiring More Sustainability (IMS) with Charlene Cranny of Volans.

Sat next to – and later spoke alongside – Economy Minister Franz Fayot. Fascinating conversations and was stunned by the architecture of – and around – La Table du Belvédère. Already lots on invitations to come back, or to speak in other EU countries.

Loved this greening between tram rails near our hotel

As we walk to the IMS dinner – part of the building in which it will be held
Ready to go at La Table du Belvédère
I’m on the menu
Under way
In full flow, with 3Ps backdrop
Meeting Franz Fayot, Minister of the Economy, who sat next to me and responded to my presentation
Intrigued?

Introduction

I began this blog with an entry reporting on a visit to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution on Cape Cod, on 30 September 2003. The blog element of the website has gone through several iterations since, with much of the older material still available.

Like so many things in my life, blog entries blur the boundaries between the personal and the professional. As explained on this site’s Home Page, the website and the blog are part platform for ongoing projects, part autobiography, and part accountability mechanism.

In addition, my blogs have appeared on many sites such as: Chinadialogue, CSRWire, Fast Company, GreenBiz, Guardian Sustainable Business, and the Harvard Business Review.
